Perseverance and Success

Think about the dreams that you wanted to, or still wish to accomplish in life. Most of the goals that people want to achieve deal with earning money, in some form or another, and from this, a lot of people have flocked to the Internet in hopes of starting a small business or blog, in order to generate an income.

What most people fail to realize is that they will never achieve what they want to because they don't enjoy what they are doing. It doesn't matter if you see someone else doing something he loves doing, and you try to replicate the results, yet fail to do so because you hate doing it. You have to have desire to accomplish something, or you will never see your eventual outcome - success.

Applying this to online businesses, whether it be in the form of a blog, website, or another venture, you should find what interests you and stick with it until you meet your goals, at which point you should continue doing what you love. It doesn't matter if someone tells you that it is stupid, if you are successful - meaning that you enjoy doing it, are learning from it, and potentially generating an income from it, you have met everything you have fancied for.

Today, think about whether you truly enjoy what you do for a living. If not, would alternatives better suit you and allow you to become a more productive person?

Organization Tips for Generating More Income

Whether or not you are organized can leave a huge impact on your earning potential.  People who have to deal with large piles of unpaid bills, cluttered desks or hard to find passwords have a harder time trying to see how to better their earnings online.

In this post, I am going to go through several ways that you can begin improving your organization skills to maximize the time that you are really devoting to your income-generating activities.  It is key that you master these, or you will never realize the time that you have spent frustrated over trying to deal with the 'mess'.

The first step in dealing with organization is trying to discover what is holding you back.  It may be that you can't remember the password to a select sites(s) or you simply don't have time to organize your desk and keep track of your earnings to date.  In either case, you'll first need to analyze the situation that you are in, then base your future decisions off of that, tweaking it to improve your previous tactics.

Listed below are some general tips to help become more organized.  Remember to only base your decisions off these, as they may not be suited towards everyone's needs.

1.  Write down everything you do.  Utilizing this (somewhat time-consuming, at first) activity will allow you to look back at any point and see what you were doing.  You can only predict your future by looking at your past activities.  It is also important that you write down those hard to remember passwords and keep them in a secure place.

2.  Don't waste time doing something you won't keep.  For example, if you are working on an online project, make sure that you do it right the first time.  It'll simply be put on the back burner if you don't believe that it was intended to be a good investment - in time and perhaps money.

3.  Clear the clutter from your life (and desk).  Square away odds and ends before you go sit down at your computer.  This will lead to more distraction-free writing time (if you are a blogger) or time to participate in activities that generate more income.

4.   Schedule, schedule, schedule.  Keep a daily planner or use an online calendar utility to keep track of when you should be working on projects, going to 'outside of the home' organizations, or other life events.  Applying this to blogging, you can schedule a good time to post on your blog(s) each day.

5.  Only do one thing at a time.  When it comes to multitasking, working on more than one large project at a time is never a good idea - quality goes down and you'll likely need to redo the project to fix common errors.  Like most things in life, it is more important to get one thing done right, instead of having ten things that have been done just so-so.

6.  Simplify your life.  Instead of creating a trap down the road, don't exhaust your time in doing something that will only add more steps to something that should be incredibly simple.

7.  Label everything.  Stick labels on things to stay organized.  You'll know where everything is.  Another approach to this is writing down the location or descriptions of objects so you can find them easier later.

8.  Don't let anything get in your way.  You control what you do and where you go.  Don't let your distractions overpower you when trying to stay organized.

What ways can you improve your organization skills?  Are there any tips you'd like to add?
